This week, wearing something purple is a must in Women’s Week! Do you know why?
Purple symbolizes the rights for girls and women for freedom and dignity. The color was chosen after a fire in a shirt’s factory in 1915 in New York, where 123 women died for protesting for their low wages. Some versions maintain that the fabrics were purple and the smoke that came out of the factory was of that colour, which symbolizes even more the feminist cause and women’s human rights.
